Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow to Miss Remainder of Season

Burrow Suffered Torn Ligament in Wrist

Disappointing End to Promising Season

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will miss the remainder of the 2023 season after suffering a torn ligament in his right wrist during Thursday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The injury, diagnosed on Friday, is a significant setback for the Bengals and their star signal-caller.

Head coach Zac Taylor announced the news at a press conference, expressing disappointment over the loss of his franchise cornerstone. Burrow, who led the Bengals to their first Super Bowl appearance in over 30 years last season, had been playing exceptionally well in 2023 before the injury occurred.

The Bengals will now move forward without their starting quarterback for the remainder of the campaign. With Burrow out, backup Brandon Allen is expected to take over under center. Allen, who has limited starting experience, faces a daunting task as the Bengals hope to finish the season on a high note.

Burrow's injury is a major blow to the Bengals' playoff aspirations. The team had entered the season with high expectations, but their hopes of contending for a Super Bowl now appear slim without their star quarterback.
