Argentina, the defending Copa America champions, secured their spot in the final by defeating Canada 2-0 on Saturday.

The match, which was played in Buenos Aires, was dominated by Argentina from start to finish. The hosts took the lead in the 15th minute when Lionel Messi scored from the penalty spot. Julian Alvarez added a second goal in the 35th minute to put the game out of reach.

Canada had a few chances to get back into the game, but they were unable to find the back of the net. The Canadians will now face the winner of Sunday's match between Uruguay and Colombia in the third-place game.
